Philly, PA: Wrap-Up
All the highlights of my second travel assignment in Philadelphia, PA!
Dalton Farms, NJ: Look to the Sun
Last weekend I was originally going to drive up to Vermont (6+ hour drive from Philadelphia) to cross off the final state of my 30 before 30 goal. However in listening to my body, I realized what I really needed to do was to rest and to stay more local. I had a really difficult… Continue reading Dalton Farms, NJ: Look to the Sun
Bethany Beach, DE: R+R+R
Road, read, rest. Those three Rs are exactly what I did this weekend and exactly what I needed. I was on the road (about 2.5 hours each way to the beach)...I read when I got to the beach...and I rested, really rested after a busy week at the hospital. Speaking of the hospital, I do… Continue reading Bethany Beach, DE: R+R+R
Sea Isle City, NJ: Beach day
If there is one place on the East Coast that can remind me of the West Coast it is at the beach. 'Twas a very successful day trip!
“Water Ice” & Jeny From the Block
A little bit about my first couple of weeks at work, good Philly food, and examples of the cases I am seeing here.
Philly, PA: First impressions
I survived the first week of my new assignment! Here are some of my first impressions of Philadelphia so far.
Bismarck, ND: Wrap-up
Here is the summary of my time in North Dakota.
Bismarck, ND: Not Goodbye
Three months ago on March 24, 2021 I made the courageous choice to leave everything and everyone I loved behind in San Jose and just GO. I left my lease and my roommate in our apartment we shared. I left my relationship. I left my stable job at the hospital. I left friends. I left family. I left my dog. I left a severe drug addiction. I left the chaos. Bismarck, ND was my first travel assignment.
Rapid City, SD: Rushmore & More
If there is one thing I love, it is a good road trip. Despite the fact that I drove 1500+ miles from California to North Dakota and I will be driving about the same to Philadelphia in just a couple of weeks, I absolutely love the journey (just as much as the destination). During my first month here in Bismarck I was still getting to know people and trying to find a tribe who I could get together with on weekends. SO. On a random Saturday in April I woke up and randomly decided to take a road trip to South Dakota to see Mount Rushmore!
